Kevin Hall, serving in place of Chair Lona Robertson called the meeting to order at 2:30 p.m.
1. The minutes for the August 5, 2022 meeting were approved.
2. Course Change Proposals:
All course change proposals were approved without opposition. The approved courses are listed on the CIM Course Report created by CourseLeaf and will be forwarded for consideration as appropriate to the Faculty Senate, meeting scheduled for October 12, 2022.
3. Old Business:
None.
4. New Business:
The following program change proposals were approved on the CIM Program Report. The program changes will be forwarded for consideration to the Faculty Senate schedule for October 12, 2022.
a. Proposed undergraduate program change for the Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food, and Life Sciences, Department of Agri Food and Life Sciences Dean – AFLS Honors – Bumpers College Honors Requirements presented by Kevin Hall.
Change 80 to 90 hours of course credit completion required for deadline to have prepared proposal for study. Remove "in the Honors program" from the 1st sentence in Honors Curriculum section. Remove "as a body and" from 1st sentence of 2nd paragraph of Honors Graduation section.
Minor housekeeping changes. The 90 hours completion deadline to propose allows students until the end of their junior year and completion of their thesis proposal development course requirement (4a_aflshonors_report_09232022).
b. Proposed undergraduate program change for the Walton College of Business, Department of Economics – ECNCBA – Economics, Bachelor of Arts presented by Alan Ellstrand.
i. Replaced ECON 4033 History of Economic Thought with ECON 3143 Economics of Poverty and Inequality as a course option.
ECON 4033 History of Economic Thought is no longer offered--ECON 3143 was selected as a replacement for this class.
ii. Replaced ECON 4033 with ECON 3143 in the eight semester plan.
Updating the eight semester plan to reflect this course change.
iii. Updated program requirements to explain how the 120 hours are satisfied.
Program requirements needed more detail.
iv. Added program goals and learning outcomes.
Program goals and learning outcomes were not listed (4b_ecncba_report_09232022).
5. Additional items/Announcements:
a. Career and Technical Education – Certificate/Non-Degree Endorsement Licensure Revision

b. Center for Black Music – New administrative unit – (5b_bmi_new_administrative_unit_ltr_of_notification_09232022, 5b_bmi_ new_administrative_unit_proposal_09232022).
c. Alice Griffin announced that ADHE has published a revised Letter of Notification. The revised version will be available on the Registrar’s webpage by September 30. Meanwhile, faculty can access the form (5c_letterofnotification_form_09232022).
