    1. Proposed undergraduate program change for the College of Education and Health Professions, Department of Health, Human Performance and Recreation – PPHED – Teaching K-12 Physical Education & Health (Pre-Teaching K-12 Physical Education & Health) presented by Paul Calleja.

      CIED 1013 added as alternative to PHED 1003.

      Adding CIED 1013 as an alternative to PHED 1003 will provide PHED students with more flexibility in any given semester to complete the introductory course requirement.

      Removal of the Praxis 1 requirement.

      The state no longer requires students in teacher education programs to take and earn passing scores on the Praxis 1 exam, so the PHED faculty have decided to remove this requirement (4a_pphed_report_09242021).

    2. Proposed graduate program change for the William Dillard Department of Accounting – ACCTMA – Accounting, Master of Accountancy presented by Alan Ellstrand.

      Specified a list of 9 elective hours to include one graduate ACCT elective.

    4. Proposed graduate program change for the Department of Architecture and Design Dean – DSGNMDS – Design Studies, Master of Design Studies presented by Ethel Goodstein-Murphree.

      Update CIP code.

      The Master of Design Studies degree is multidisciplinary with students from architecture, landscape architecture, and interior design professionals accepted into the program. As a post professional degree, the integration of complex systems within the built environment is foundational to all of the degree concentrations.     7. Proposed graduate program change for the Department of Business Dean – BADMMB – Business Administration, Master of Business Administration presented by Alan Ellstrand.

      Change the total hours for the MBA programs to include all concentrations ranging from 38-51 hours.
      Reference a standard Graduate School of Business admissions policy by directing to a central catalog page.
      Include the option for early admission to the FT MBA concentration as an Accelerated MBA student. Allow for up to 18
      hours of non-degree out of career graduate coursework while an undergraduate student.

      Update the overall degree hour rage to reflect a change to the FT MBA concentration from 53 hours to 51 hours.

      Total net change of 3 hours to the degree involving reduction in internship requirement and inclusion of 1 hour Intro to Global Business. Qualifies for a minor change.
      Added "track" designation to each track subject area
      Added General Business Administration Track to allow for combined track option for students to use existing track courses.
      ECON/SEVI 537V 1 hour Intro to Global Business updated to MBAD 5531.
      ECON/SEVI 537V 3 hour Global Business updated to MBAD 5533.
      Overall degree requirement reduced from 53 to 51 hours.

      Changes were made to update MGMT prefixes to the new SEVI department code where appropriate. General Business Administration Track added to accommodate students wanting customized courses for particular skillset development.
      Updated ECON/SEVI 537V to MBAD 5531 and MBAD 5533 to reflect direct MBA Program administration of these courses and faculty hiring from multiple departments.
      Reduction of the internship credit hour requirement from 3 hours to 1 hour to reduce financial burden to students while still reflecting accurate workload in the course evaluation (4h_badmmb-badm_report_09242021).

      Walton has approved a new master's admission policy to include a GMAT/GRE waiver. This waiver does not apply to Walton doctoral admissions.       Updated admission requirements to reflect new application fees and to include new GMAT/GRE waiver policy as approved by Walton Master's Committee and each departmental program.
