Changing CHEM 1103/1101L to CHEM 1123/1121L.

To correct a long-standing error in the catalog. CHEM 1103 is a required course in our curriculum, and therefore should never have been included in the 4 hour science elective list in the first place. The correct class in the list should be CHEM 1123 instead.

      Changing PHYS 3603/3601VLto PHYS 3613/361VL.

The request is a recommendation from Physics. According to them, 3603 is designed for BA major and 3613 for BS major. And 361VL is the lab for 3613 (4m_meegbs_report_02262021).

    14. Proposed graduate program change for the Department of Architecture and Design Dean – DSGNMDS - Design Studies, Master of Design Studies presented by Ethel Goodstein.

Inserting admission requirements and process into the catalog copy.

The Master of Design Studies is a post-professional degree serving practitioners within the architecture, landscape architecture, and interior design fields. The strengths of design practitioners are better revealed through a rigorous portfolio review, where problem analysis and solutions are communicated graphically, pictorially, and verbally. This is a better indicator of student success compared to a standardized exam. Further, the GRE and other standardized exams are a barrier, both financially and perceptually, to a diverse range of student applicants (4n_dsgnmds_report_02262021).

    15. Proposed graduate program change for the Department of Curriculum and Instruction – ETECME - Educational Technology, Master of Education presented by Derrick Mears.

The ePortfolio course is a required course for the program and was accidentally left off of a previous revision. Also an additional elective of ETEC 5253 whas also left from the changes. Changes in the number of credits (30 to 31) and addition of the course to the required course list was added

Course has always been a requirement. Failure to list in the catalog during a recent program update. The ETEC 5253 is a course that has been in existance but is being rebuilt to be offered as an elective (4o_etecme_report_02262021).

    16. Proposed graduate program change for the Department of Industrial Engineering – EMGTGC - Engineering Management Graduate Certificate presented by Norm Dennis.
