- Proposed undergraduate program change for the College of Education and Health Professions, Department of Education Dean - EDSTBS – BSE, Major in Educational Studies (Table One, Attachment 1A, Attachment 1A-1 and Attachment 1A-2) was presented by Janet Penner-Williams. The proposed new degree, BSE in Educational Studies, focuses on the general theory and practice of learning and teaching. Students completing this program will have the cognitive ability to apply teaching strategies to a variety of agencies, such as private sector businesses, non-profit organizations, community agencies, and with additional training and licensure application, school settings. This is a degree completion program, designed for students entering their junior year of study at the University of Arkansas. The program change was approved and will be forwarded for consideration at the April Faculty Senate meeting.
- Proposed undergraduate program change for the College of Education and Health Professions, Department of Education Dean - HUWLBS – BSE, Major in Human Wellness Studies (Table One, Attachment 1B, Attachment 1B-1 and Attachment 1B-2) was presented by Janet Penner-Williams. The proposed new degree, BSE in Human Wellness Studies, will prepare individuals for either entry into specialized training programs or for a variety of concentrations in allied health fields. This is a degree completion program, designed for students entering their junior year of study at the University of Arkansas. The program change was approved and will be forwarded for consideration at the April Faculty Senate meeting.
- Proposed graduate program change for the Department of Business Administration – BADMMB – MBA, Masters in Business Administration, Executive Program (Table Two, Attachment 2A) was presented by Gary Ferrier. The proposal requests to rename the Managerial MBA to Executive MBA. The curriculum remains the same. The proposal was approved and will be forwarded for consideration at the April Faculty Senate meeting.
