Chuck Adams, Chair, called the meeting to order at 2:30 PM.
  1. The minutes for December 14, 2012 were approved without corrections.
  2. Course Change Proposals:
    1. Undergraduate and Law School course change proposals ( Table A and Table D) were approved without opposition and will be forwarded for the February 2013 Faculty Senate meeting.
    2. Graduate course change proposals ( Table B and Table C) were approved without opposition and will be forwarded for the February Graduate Council meeting.
    3. Study Abroad course additions ( Table E) were presented by Pat Koski. AAAE 500V, Study Abroad, was approved to be forwarded to the February Graduate Council meeting and AAAE 300V, Study Abroad, was approved to be forwarded to the March Faculty Senate meeting if the AAAE 500V course is approved during the February Graduate Council meeting.

  4. New Business:
    1. Proposed undergraduate program change for the Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences, Department of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness - AGBSBS – BSA, Agricultural Business, all concentrations ( Table One, Attachment 1A, Attachment 1A-1, Attachment 1A-2, Attachment 1A-3, Attachment 1A-4, Attachment 1A-5 and Attachment 1A-6) was presented by Tim Killian and Michael Thomsen. The proposed changes were to comply with ACT 747 and make slight alterations in course requirements that correspond to changes proposed by the Walton College of Business (WCOB). The proposed changes allow students to take ACCT 2013 instead of WCOB 1023, as the latter course will no longer be offered by the WCOB. Proposal was approved and will be forwarded for consideration at the February 2013 Faculty Senate meeting.
    2. There were no Graduate program changes submitted.
  5. Other Business:
    1. Bill Warnock announced that electronic documents should not be forwarded with signatures of approval. These documents when sent to ADHE will become public documents and signatures could be copied.
