The proposal requested a change that was necessary to correspond to the changing of CHEM 1074 to CHEM 1073. The hours in the Physical and Biological Sciences area will change from 17 to 16. The one hour reduction in Physical and Biological Sciences will become available as general electives, so hours in General Electives will change from 23-29 to 24 to 30.. 4. Proposed graduate program change for the Department of Business Administration - BADMPH – PhD, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management Concentration ( Table Two, Attachment 2A and Attachment 2A-1) was presented by Marion Dunagan and Christian Hofer. Proposal requested to add a new concentration for the Ph.D. in Business Administration currently in place in the Walton College. Prior to the creation of the new department, students who were focused on logistics and supply chain management completed a customized marketing track in the PhD in Business Administration. With the creation of the new Department of Supply Chain Management, the department is prepared to formalize the Supply Chain Concentration. No other Ph.D. in Business Administration is currently found in the State of Arkansas so this is not a duplication of effort. Furthermore, the degree is in high demand globally, both in academic institutions and in business operations. The proposal was approved and will be forwarded for the June 2011 Graduate Council meeting.

Meeting was adjourned at 3:07 PM.
