4. New Business:

  1. Proposed undergraduate program change for the Bumpers College of Agriculture, Food and Life Sciences, School of Human Environmental Sciences – HESCBS – BSHES, Human Environmental Science (Table One, Attachments 1A, 1A-1 and 1A-2) was presented by Tim Killian. The GHES curriculum was being redesigned for several reasons. The deletion of HESC 4813 was due to the interior design program leaving the School of Human Environmental Sciences. Addition of HESC 1603 allowed students exposure to the hospitality industry. Changes to HLSC courses are reflected in the program catalog copy because of the changes to the alpha code and changing their titles. The HLSC courses were already utilized by the program. Total hours for the degree remained at 124. The proposal was withdrawn until the total hours for the degree could be reduced to 120 hours. If the program wished to decrease the free elective hours by four, then the committee would agree to forward the program change to the March Faculty Senate meeting. Later the following week, Tim Killian reported that the proposal was being reconsidered by the School of Human Environmental Sciences faculty and would be forwarded at a later date.
  2. Proposed undergraduate program change for the Fay Jones School of Architecture, Department of Landscape Architecture, – LARC-M – Minor in Landscape Architecture (Table One, Attachments 1B and 1B-1) was tabled for the March meeting because no one from the School of Architecture was available to present the proposal.

Meeting was adjourned at 2:48 PM.
