Tim Killian substituting for Terry Martin called the meeting to order at 2:31 PM.

  1. The minutes for January 28, 2011 were approved without corrections. 
  2. Course Change Proposals:
    1. Undergraduate course change proposals ( Table A) were approved without opposition and will be forwarded for the March 2011 Faculty Senate meeting.
    2. The Graduate and Dual Course Change Proposals ( Tables B and C) were approved without opposition and will be forwarded for the March 2011 Faculty Senate meeting because both tables were approved at the February 17, 2011 Graduate Council meeting.

  4. New Business:
    1. Proposed undergraduate program change for the Bumpers College of Agriculture, Food and Life Sciences – School of Human Environmental Sciences – HDFSBS – BSHES, Human Development, Family Science & Rural Sociology – Child Development Concentration ( Table One, Attachment 1A) was presented by Tim Killian. The proposal requested to remove HESC 4472/4472L Child Development Practicum and lab from the list of required courses, remove HESC 3763L Family Resource Management Lab from the list of HESC electives and increase the general electives requirement from 30-36 hours to 34 - 40 hours. The proposal was approved without opposition and will be forwarded for consideration at the March 2011 Faculty Senate meeting.
    2. Proposed graduate program change for the Department of Curriculum and Instruction - EDPOMC – PMC, Educational Policy Studies – ( Table Two, Attachment 2A and Attachment 2A-1) was presented by Janet Penner-Williams. The proposal requested to delete the graduate certificate in Educational Policy Studies offered through Educational Statistics and Research Methods. The proposal was approved without opposition and will be forwarded for consideration at the March 2011 Graduate Council meeting.
